All of these coatings offer varying degrees of resistance to corrosion, erosion and abrasion. Since these coatings are chemically inert, they do a very good job of minimizing work piece material from transferring onto tooling.  Due to the low coefficient of friction values of these coatings, reduced cycle times can be achieved.
