PHYSICAL VAPOR DEPOSITION (PVD) TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

All of these coatings offer varying degrees of resistance to corrosion, erosion and abrasion. Because these coatings are chemically inert they do a very good job of minimizing work piece material from transferring onto tooling. Due to the low coefficient of friction values of these coatings, reduced cycle times can be achieved. Typical coating temperature is 300ºF - 1000ºF (150ºC - 510ºC)
