Ionic Technologies Inc. heat treats to the NADCAP Specifications as well as Customer specification.  For Maximum Vacuum Hardening we utilize 10 Bar Turbo Quench Furnaces. These furnaces have multi-directional, modulating control capability, along with variable speed fan control. Temperature is controlled with a 4-point load thermocouple system that allows us to process parts in accordance to aerospace & military specifications.
S-Phase Nitriding of Stainless Steel Alloy increases the corrosion resistance as well as the hardness of the surface and case depth up to 25 microns below depending on the alloy.  Various PVD Coatings are available to offer varying degrees of resistance to corrosion, erosion and abrasion.  Solution Nitriding improves corrosion and wear characteristics. Solution Nitriding of stainless steels are done in a vacuum furnace. PH steels and 300 series stainless can also be processed.
